A skilled team, led by Petrex Developments mobbed the Seven Osprey DSV from Nigg on behalf of Ithaca Energy on the 4th of January, transiting to the Athena Field in the Outer Moray Firth area of the Central North Sea.
The Athena field development consists of four production wells, fitted with electrical submersible pumps, and supported by a water injection well that is designed to supplement natural aquifer influx.
The wells are tied back to a floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel, the “BW Athena”, which is moored over the field. The FPSO is leased from BW Offshore, who also operate as duty holder for the vessel.
Stabilised crude oil is transported from the FPSO by shuttle tankers directly to the Ithaca operated Nigg oil terminal for aggregation of the crude in to larger cargoes for subsequent sale to market
Petrex Developments, the offshore engineering subsea specialists, have been engineering and planning the current scope from onshore prior to managing this current DSV programme in the Ithaca Athena field which involves diving works at the production manifold.
